As a Bay Area native, Gwen grew up in Foster City for the better part of his life. He went to Audubon Elementary, Bowditch Middle, San Mateo High, College of San Mateo and then eventually graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2000 with a BS in Information Systems Management.

Immediately after graduating from UCSC, Gwen headed off to Paris to see what they were doing on the other side of the world. His attempt to learn French was dismal, so he put on his pack and headed to Switzerland and then down to Italy. Bellissimo!

He started off his career at a small startup but eventually moved on to Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores. After many years of complex technical work for one of the largest software companies in the world, he realized that it was no longer a good fit. Gwen decided to leave Oracle, after 5 wonderful years.

He put on his backpack and headed to South America in hopes to ‘find himself.’ After many wonderful experiences from the culture and people, he came to a realization that people are good hearted in general. Although the behaviors could vary and be misunderstood at times, everyone’s intentions are positive. Quite interesting..
 
Sadly enough Gwen was nowhere to be found in Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile and Argentina. Oh well, it was fun looking for him..

He worked at two other technology startups doing a mix breed of Sales and Engineering. The work was entertaining but far from his passion. Throughout his early years in UCSC, he was always fascinated with homes and had a natural attraction to them. It encouraged him to remodel an entire townhouse, from top to bottom. Proudly looking at the finished work, he realized that he was on to something but wasn't exactly sure what.

As years passed, there were a few more transactions and experiences with purchasing and managing properties. Gwen was presented with an opportunity to do what he naturally enjoyed and loved. He is proud to say that he is following his dream and working with the two things that capture his interest the most. People and homes!
