I n the first quarter of 2011, our Education and Outreach Services department will launch an enhanced training curriculum—adding new online training materials, a new ‘workshop’ format featuring hands-on learning, and new courses on emerging subscriber benefits, such as an overview of the REALTORS Property Resource (RPR). This expansion of our training offerings is the result of subscriber feedback as well as the ongoing evolution of our educational model toward a ‘blended and synched’ program that provides the instruction our users need, in the format and environment in which they learn best.
Matrix Easy and Synchronized Learning
In addition to our one-and-a-half hour instructor-led overview courses on Matrix, we are now offering more tailored ‘Easy’ courses designed to help users jump in and work with the basic features of the application. After attending an instructor-led course, students will have a list of short videos and How To’s available online, synchronized with the material in the instructor-led course, to reference what they’ve learned during at-home study and simultaneous application in the system.
We’re also adding more targeted workshop classes, teaching individual tasks in smaller, ‘bring your own laptop’ lecture-lab style classes, so users get hands-on experience during the course itself.

Our Education and Outreach Services department is also continuing to expand its online Matrix training library, to help users become comfortable with the most commonly-used features in Matrix as well as explore some of the application’s advanced offerings. Planned topics for the upcoming round of videos include:

Realtors Property Resource (RPR)
Outreach is also now offering 30 or 60 minute REALTORS Property Resource (RPR) demonstrations at Association and broker offices, to help subscribers take advantage of this market-differentiating tool. RPR is a parcel-centric system which aggregates all available data sets and attaches them to a property, including tax assessment and public record information, notice of default, REO, foreclosure and pre-foreclosure data, MLS/CIE-provided information, zoning, liens, permits, school districts, flood plain maps, demographics and much more.
