Good news for our subscribers who have been patiently awaiting a mobile solution to our secure MLS information: 2011 will see delivery of Matrix Mobile, as well as secure access to pro.mlslistings.com via the latest mobile devices, via a browser-optimized website environment.
Since we launched secure access via iPhone and iPad last summer, we have had a substantial increase in requests for solutions for other devices – like Android system, Blackberry, etc.
We are currently on track for a first quarter delivery of Matrix Mobile, a smartphone-enabled version of our Matrix application, integrated with our data and available on most mobile devices. Once implemented, users can log in to pro.mlslistings.com via their smartphone browser, selecting the ‘Matrix Mobile’ option from the menu in the login screen.
Users can access many features available in the desktop version of Matrix, including showing instructions, private remarks, saved searches, email-to-client capability, and much more. Information entered via Matrix Mobile is immediately accessible on the desktop version of Matrix Search, and vice versa.
Matrix Mobile Key Features
• View property photos on your phone
• Email listings to clients
• Add listings to a Cart
• Track and view multiple listings in your Cart
• Email all listings in the Cart to a client
• Search properties, agents, or offices
• View your Saved Searches (whether youentered the contacts from Desktop or Mobile)
• View all Contacts in Matrix (whether you enteredthe contacts from Desktop or Mobile)
These enhancements affect the agent experience only. Clients can access the Client Portal through most mobile devices today, but remain limited to certain information—showing instructions and private remarks, for example, are for agents’ eyes only, and restricted to strong-authentication viewing.
Not yet using Matrix? No problem. Also planned for the first half of 2011 are enhancements to our secure login process allowing our incumbent system, pro.mlslistings.com, to be accessed by the latest mobile devices. Once implemented, subscribers will be able to direct their mobile device’s internet browser to pro.mlslistings.com, and sign in as usual. As with Matrix Mobile, information entered via the mobile version will be immediately accessible via the desktop version, and vice versa.
As appropriate, we will post announcements, access instructions and other resources on MyNewPro. This is also the site to post comments and feedback on these and other solutions, so stay tuned and join the conversation
